Nestled in the Hamlet of Littleworth less than five miles from the centre of the Historic City of Oxford, at the bottom of the ancient Shotover Hill near the former London to Oxford turnpike, lies The Cricketer's Arms - An unspoilt Free House Pub: "The Little Pub with the BIG Welcome".
Close to Oxford and the M40 and A40 transport links and on the 103/104 bus route, The Cricketer's Arms, Littleworth is an ideal meeting place, whether you are travelling by Car, Bus, Bicycle or Walking in the picturesque Oxfordshire Countryside.
The Cricketer's Arms offers great value traditional Home Made Pub Food. In the evening and at weekends, we have a selection of Main Meals from our ever changing menu, including our Famous Pies, Angie's Special Chilli, Scampi and home made pizza. During the day, we offer freshly made paninis. Did we mention that our chips are proper chips - hand peeled and hand cut for that extra special specialness and that we have a great Vegetarian selection. See our Opening and Food Service times.
We can sum up our Real Ale selection in one word: "Local". All our Real Ale comes from within a thirty six mile radius of the pub, direct from whichever local brewery it comes from, so it's as fresh and tasty as it possibly can be. As a Genuine English Freehouse Pub, The Cricketer's Arms offers Hook Norton Hooky Bitter and Shotover Prospect as its Permanent Session Ales and two Local Guest Ale pumps (one of which is usually a Dark Mild, Stout or Porter), plus with a huge range of Local Bottled Ales, Local Real Cider, a selection of New World Wines and our Malt Whisky Menu, there's always something to suite your palette.
